I’m rylee and I get to create cute lil things for a living, it's super cool and I'm so grateful I get to do this! I've loved art and crafting since I was little and have always wanted to be an artist. I like experimenting with new mediums and covering my walls with collages full of things that inspire me.
I live in a small town in amish country Indiana, so not the most ideal location to sell my creations lol. I'm an introverted gemini. I'm a cat mom to a crazy orange kitty without a tail named nugget :3. I love roller skating, taking nugget on adventures and playing minecraft. I always have something playing in the background while I work so I've watched a good majority of the shows on netflix. I have an obsession with stars (they're just so cute!). I like to be creative in all aspects of life. I love picking out fun outfits, decorating and redecorating my room, upcycling second hand goods, and building things. I always give handmade gifts, it's a good excuse to make something I've never tried before.
I make art because it is so fun for me, it always has been. I love learning new techniques and experimenting with different ideas. I love seeing my ideas come to life, and honestly art is really satisfying, smoothing out clay, the brushstrokes when painting, the peacefulness of counting every crochet stitch, I love it all.
In 2020 my dad passed away, it was really hard for me, but I had art and creation to help me work through my grief. My dads death also changed my entire perspective on life. Like did I really wanna spend the rest of my life working jobs that didn't fulfill me? From that, RD Designs was born, and a lot of failure and learning later, here I am today sharing my creations with all of you.
I hope to inspire other people to make art, whether it's good or bad, just create! The whole process can be so therapeutic and healing. I would also love to start a youtube channel in the near future so that i can share my journey of starting my art business to motivate, inspire and help others that are thinking of starting their own.
I am so grateful to everyone that has believed in me and supported me on my journey. Thank you so much for being here, it's because of you that I get to live my dreams!
